  6. In another astonishing "one rule for us . . . . "

I took a person I help to an ATOS assessment for his Empoyment and Support Allowance. They kept us waiting for 2 hours.

However, had we turned up 5 minutes late, they would not have seen us and stopped his benefit.

  8. There was a traffic cop parked at a junction, completly blocking the pavement near here. Terrible accident black spot. I pulled up down the road and asked if she needed a push seeing as she was stuck in such a dangerous position. "Monitoring traffic!" "When did you have your common sense bypass?"
After a quick paperwork and vehicle check she drove right up mya@+e for 10 miles. Give her her due she was sharp enough not to rear end me when I slammed the handbrake
    Pillock

  9. Re Rustydrivers pics, thats T5 drivers for you:)

  10. When was the last time ANYONE got a parking ticket from the cops?

It's been decriminalzation for years and the responsibility of the local council.

A similar question would be "when was the last time a cop got a parking ticket?"

  12. Cops do get speeding tickets and parking tickets on duty. Etc

If they can't give an explanation why they are using their legal exemptions they get the ticket like anyone else!

  13. My next door nighbour got caught drinking n driving, went off sick had a pscho report and was fined 300 quid and 3 points and was able to collect his 28k lump sum and pension, as his sick leave took him up to his retirement age from the police force.... anyone else would of lost both.

  14. How would anyone else loss a pension that they pay for when getting arrested for drink driving?

    They may get sacked?

When we are traveling under lights & siren in the rescue truck we are permitted to go 10 Km/H over the posted speed limit, any more than that & we require a Police escort. The ambos are the same, there's a few coppers who take a delight in booking the other emergency services.
Usually it is quashed on appeal when the fine arrives. :D

  16. If he had got sacked he would of loss his lump sum i believe.. the 28k, as for the pension,
Well wtf do they do extra to get a pension before there 65+ we all pay taxes to pay there wages,

    Are you a copper craig

I know that's the theory. I don't believe its the practice though.

Ps. Putting 2 and 2 together I'm guessing you're a cop? Of course I could have got 5....

    Thought so.

  20. Don't get me wrong. If they are found guilty of an offence they should be sacked and taken off the pay role ASAP.

Should they lose their pension for drink driving? I don't think so.

If he was of retirement age he can take his pension as its his.

If he got the sack before pension age it would have been frozen.
