  1. I've removed the 110v sockets from my Westy.

Would anyone be interested in them?

    After p&p costs only.

    Quite heavy so around £10.

Will get a picture uploaded later.

Located in SE London so free if you collect.

  2. Hi Andy Not after the sockets sorry, but I was just wondering how you changed to a 240 hook up. I've the same bus as you and I'm looking to fit a 240 hook up with a leisure battery with a split charge.

  3. im a complete novice so was wondering how easy it is to do yourself. Cheers

  4. I had someone do most of the wiring for me, but in hindsight it is pretty easy!

Go to XtremeVans and buy a 240v hookup kit.
    It's about £70.

Then buy a male hookup plug as you'll need that.
It's easier than the sockets they give you.

You basically have the hookup plug, to a wire, to the RCD.
Then out of the RCD you can run the sockets.

I ran two double sockets and one single socket.

The single socket has a leisure battery charger plugged into it, which then connects to the leisure battery.
That's not a split charge as such, but means that when plugged into 240v the leisure battery charges and the fridge doesn't drain it.

If you know an electrician, they can wire it all up for you and you can fit it (as I did).

  5. Thanks Andy that's sound

  7. I'll take some tomorrow if that's ok?

The wires have been cut when removing, so not sure how it was wired up.

Also have the 110v to 12v tranfsormer that came with it / the fridge.
