There's a catch of course. They are in need of "refurbishment". No outer skins... And the silencer plates need replacing. However, I couldn't just chuck them - The oval port ones I refurbished recently were in worse condition. There is a pair, other one is out through wind and rain to photo, but it's in the same state. No, these are square port ones for late 2L. Yours and mine are oval port. I've had these knocking about for years. Your old ones are reskinned and re-flanged and ready to go on my engine.
I have very little stuff Bob, mostly type 1 engine tins and bits, like you say I'm just having a tidy up. And lots of Type 4 engine tins, fan housings, fan etc, but you have all that.

Sure do. I'm always on it but seem as I've bought 2 pair now that aren't any good to me I thought I'd as before I bought. I've emailed and or spoke to all the usual CC imports , parts emp etc even Paul hasn't got any. It would seem either I'm mega unlucky and miss em or they're not as common as we think?
Ask @Top Banana Racing - he had all my spare tin a while back to add to his tin collection and both US undertins were there. And the second one you are watching on ebay doesnt look like a US one to me.
I bought a complete set of exhaust/HX's, Tinware, fan housing, alternator for £150 on ebay and hacked up the heat exchangers for the skins and silencer flanges. Of course if you already have repro heat exchangers in good nick on your van - a nice FREE winter job?
That was how I looked at it, I couldn't quite bring myself to spend £400 on a new pair just for the skins, but TBH it would have been "worth it". Mine and the ones I'm offering for free were both too far gone to patch up the skins.
