taking shape nicely , better when done by your own hands, nothing better than sone one asking hoiw done that , and you saying ME
I’m using a satin paint and will be leaving it as it is. I would have liked Matt paint but muck sticks to it like Marmite to a blanket and it’s really hard to clean so this is a happy compromise.
Keep up the good work. . I haven't seen those hinges on an engine bay lid before, are they for 'proper' late bays? mine's a 72' early-late bay and uses more traditional door type hinges?
Yeah there later hinges probably a cost cutting measure I’m not sure which year they changed over Mines a 78
Bet you wish you’d done it all yaself now para , n kept the Landy !! Huh hindsite . Top work as usual
Flatted it back and gave it a coat of primer It’s not quite there yet but the bulk of the works done.
I wasent happy with how the arch flare was looking It was loosing its profile with the thickness of primer and paint from the previous paint job. So I started taking it back to steel loosing a lot of filler primer and paint It should look more defined when painted now
Finished off tidying the arch flare and gave it a coat of primer I’m a lot happier with how it looks now. Next job is to tidy the seam
