Does anybody remember Peppercorn vw festival as fondly as I do? It had a unique laid back vibe and I used to go every year. Since it ceased to exist, there's been a hole in my life! What would be the closest vw show to it, in the south east that has that sort of (almost) hippy feel?
Is it ? It never used to be free it is cheap though . Yeh we been to a couple of these few years back but it seems commercialism took over , agree they were the best and great vibe .
My son went to the Peppercorn with his T25 Devon and I used to pop along before I got my own van. It was a special place, very relaxed and sort of peaceful. Been to the Hop Farm Grill n Chill a few times, its good, bigger and you can camp in the busy fields next to the Oast houses or further away in the general camping field which is much quieter. The Hop Farm is a public tourist attraction so pretty busy place.
You've knocked the nail on the head there. It was a peaceful setting and the band were always great too. Looks like I'm on for grill and chill this year. Thanks bazza.
Whent in the 90s at Kent show ground, then again when it moved to near Leeds castle, great parts venue, lot of Belgums, with fab parts.
Elemental in April, Essex dubbers at Battlesbride, and TOMIE. All in Essex so would need to get through Dartford Crossing which sometimes sad from Kent into Essex but usually not a problem Essex to Kent.
