I wouldn't have put an Orange awning on my green van. They don't really do a neutral coloured canvas or I would have chosen that perhaps, but the green was the obvious choice from the range for me. Quite lucky really. @scrooge95 (not trying to sell you mine!) Para is correct to suggest you consider any "extras" needed. I don't know what comes with the one you're looking at but when I got mine those extras - brackets, a ridge pole thing, better guys and pegs added up to a fair £chunk. I've been there too... maybe not quite that bad! After the first time, as you know, you're stuffed because the canvas is stretched. Another experience in the pile to steer me at the fiamma one this time. Think I've had 3 more lightweight ones but they all puddled at some point. What's worse is you know it's going to happen and get out there during the night (I have) to empty it hoping to limit the damage? Then pack it up soaked in your van. Who needs that. EDIT: Ah, I see now, it's inside out, one like Sarahs? Recoverable after that I'd guess?
My dad got me with that one too. lol Along with convincing me while we were in Scotland that the toilet with Ladies written on it was for small boys because Ladies in Scotland was pronounced Laddies and that was me.
Interesting. It doesn't look as wide as the ARB (2.5m) but that might be an illusion. also I'd need to source a fitting kit where the ARB one comes with one specifically made for a T2. I don't think that apart from the fitting kit / clamps, there are any additional bits included. Any additional bits seem to be things like side panels and bits that turn it into an awning, which I would expect to pay extra for. I believe guy ropes are part of it. There's no ridge pole, the idea being that you shorten one of the legs slightly to direct the rain to run off the front (it would be interesting to see if something could be fashioned to make a centre ridge, or perhaps a clothes prop like @Purple suggested. Most reports seem to rate them quite highly, but they aren't Fiamma. I'm still dithering!
You can choose what size awning you want from the drop down box and camper van culture sell the mounting brackets separately
Jed is a good and nice bloke at Campervan Culture. He has done a good job of collating products and getting others developed that do the job.
