I can get a hiab truck easily enough, but I think I would need to drop it on a platform outside the window otherwise it would be difficult to unstrap and swing through the window!
Instead of lifting the piano upstairs, re-arrange some furniture and put the bloody thing in the parlour like normal folk.
My friend uses one that will reach to about the fifth floor and his operator is skilled enough to be able to swing it in the the window.
Why don't you forget the piano and get an electronic keyboard? They are more versatile and easy to get up the stairs.
You lot aren't very helpful, Malc asked for help and all he got was silliness, Malc just dismantle the piano
I like this idea, but the expense on top of the buying and transporting of it is a little prohibitive!
He composes classical music. His piano has to be top notch for the recording. He has a nice electric piano already.
The room upstairs has been turned into a music room/ recording room. He will have his electric piano in the parlour probably.
I did work on hi habs for a few years and was quite skilled in the end, but even we had accidents. It didn't matter too much when it was someone else picking up the tab, but when it's your own stuff and too expensive to replace easily you think differently about the outcome.
