Hi guys These photos are of the two rear windows on the drivers side(RHD) of my 1979 late bay! Wondered if anybody has any ideas of where I might be able to buy replacement part panels to allow me to cut the rust out and replace without going to the expense of buying a complete side panel or the hassle of fabricating pieces to replace the rusty areas with! Thanks in anticipation Andy
Just Kampers do the replacements for these, I have used them on Gusbus, they was an excellent fit too! Have a search as I cant recall the p/n's for them
That's great thanks will search but tried about 6 months ago and could only find the LHD panel for front of the two windows. Any idea what these parts would be called?
I'm not fully sure on a RHD as they suited us down to the ground, ours are LHD's. Heres a link to some of the parts http://www.justkampers.com/shop/t2-bay-window/original-parts/body-panels I'd suggest dropping Josh_JK a quick pm and asking him for the exact numbers, he is on the ball & very helpful!
I could be wrong mork, as jk increase their range all the time, but i don't think jk do these panels as it's a converted panel van and the profile is wrong, i was under the impression they only did repairs for kombis. If so, you'll have to fabricate.
Ahh yes I see what you mean, ours was confined to the window channel bits rather than down onto the bodywork! Sorry I didnt realise it was a converted panel van, what about Schofields, have they anything suitable?
Yeah sorry guys is converted panel van! Have looked at Schofield and can't see front window repair! So are u saying that cos mine is converted panel van the just campers rear repair panel is no good either!?
dunno tbh - start with Josh_JK and go from there although Zed will probably know what you are looking for, he's a font of knowledge!
I came up against the same problem when doing mine, and to be honest I think you'll end up fabricating them, easy enough if you have access to a metal folder.
Thanks a lot everyone for your advice! Looks like I might be fabricating, then filling quite a lt knowing what my fabricating is like!!
