Removal of petrol tank

Hi all, trying to remove the petrol tank having removed the 6 screws, does the panel pull forward from the bottom as its trapped at the top, iv removed the fire wall at the top but there seems to be no movement.Any help would be appreciated.

 

Theres two screws on the underside that are normally corroded so you cant see them properly

 

lie under the bus & come up from underneath, they are at the extreme ends of the firewall.

Go and have a quick look now...you'll sleep better

 

when you put it back in, make sure you grease the threads on the bolts for the tank straps. even better have some new ones welded in. also worth replacing the rubbish matting underneath with some closed cell camping matt.
