Seen plenty of these, good when tightened up, but tricky to remove once they rust a bit as they spin. I'd copper slip the threads.
yeah from(9 years ago) memory RR, that is a description of them, expect they are all purchased from same supplier anyhow, no matter who is punting them out ?so fixings will be same. Does anyone know of /heard about any one having such a fixing and it fell off?
Mine has been riveted on, with what looks like 6 standard sized rivets with washers. By the PO. Seems ok
If you balanced the wheel on bumper and then drove fast enough, air pressure would hold it on, surely?
I got my Rivnut tool from a hire shop when I did my last camper. An easy job but I wouldn't fit a wheel to the front again though.
Why don't you just fit an Aussie Roo/Bull Bar, they're quite normal down here. Mind you we don't have many poo busses/log cabins down here
Dont need a tool for just doing a few a bolt washer and a nut will do put nut on bolt and screw into rivnut with the washer between the rivnut and nut put rivnut in hole and tighten nut where holding bolt still loosen nut and remove bolt Job done
now i've seen how it works you're correct that would have worked, still the tool only cost £14 so not too bad.
sorry typo meant m8 - original holes in front were m6 i had to drill bigger - also drilled 2 more holes so was on with 6 bolts not the 4 that were already drilled
yes agree, will hopefully get one at skegvegas, looked online but couldn't see one i liked, fancy a chequer one in brown and white.
