  1. its in tomorrows papers ,at moment on web sites, that camper where it is like, sleeved so you pull out inside living area from outer ,so doubling the living/sleeping area, clever but pricey("basic £55,000>de lux £70,000) campers are now not "hippy trippy happy clappy ! I read there used to be a St in London where buses for sale were parked, you could pitch up ,buy a bus for a few quid , cruise around all summer ,then sell it back to guy once you were done with it !(for less cash ,obviously) must have been "different" ,those days.

    It's called a "double-back" or something similar.
It's like a builders van with an extension.

it's clever how the tailgate works though, comes out with the extention or works as normal if not, but as said it's mental money, aimed at rich retiring age types i'd guess?

  9. There were at least 2 streets in London where this was done. One in Islington and another in South London.

  10. They had a similar setup at brisbane airport. I landed and bought an old 1972 Ford falcon for $400 then practically gave it back on the way home after 3 months. This was in early 90s.
Was great driving a big old 4ltr column change ford.

Bit stroppy are you, I'm just stating this is old news.

These were at volksworld last year... And again this year.

  12. These things do look so good, if your loaded that is. But they really need to figure out a way to at least seat 4 legally and safely, or there is really much point of all that space just for 2 or maybe 3 if it has a front bench.

  13. The street you are thinking of was in Kings Cross. Just of Caledonian road. Auusie's would buy buses and drive them round Europe and when they came back would sell them in the same street. Sunday was the selling day every week. I wish I bought one there as there used to loads for cheap money.

They also used to get ambulances and convert them. This was as they had good engines and brakes and easy to fix and were massive with blacked out windows.

The old bill clamped down on this years ago. A shame really. As they were so cheap. My mates dad bought one for £200 and it was pretty good. And had spares with it. Oil,plugs belt and such things. Think it ended in the early 90's
