@crossy2112 ... as I think you thought the slate had a side bit attached ("hybrid") ............ this shows a separate channel (and some of the pipework for collecting heat.

 

No, I could see it was separated but it's acting in the same way as a pan tile.

 

Think he maybe on his way home the way the games going.

(Non opening roof light has aluminium flashing as well)
