    Looks like a White Tail Spider bite.
    Not fatal but very nasty.
    I've still got a scar on the back of my right leg from a bite 40+ years ago. Took ages to clear up.

    They're harmless.
    I'm a total arachniphobe but Huntsman Spiders are OK, as long as they're not in the bedroom. If they are and Ms.T isn't at home to remove them then they're brown bread.

    I may not get as many monetary tips in my job as perhaps I’d like (!) but I do get some lovely alternatives on occasions! Following on from last years tray of eggs, today I got four poinsettia plants!

    That's not a bite, that's where they've laid their eggs down :).
    A friend of mine did Operation Raleigh in Peru and one of the fellas had a leg that went all wobbly until the skin split and lots of lovely little spiders ran out :)
