Last year I refurbed my early Devon poptop but ran out of time to finish connecting the bottom part of the bellows to the van roof. Ok since then a lot has been going on not least the constant rain. Today my other half says why dont you finish the roof? Ok I say, sun is out, go for it. After some careful assessment I decided to attack with the angle grinder hoping the 40 year old rusty screws holding the lower strip will break off easily. No but the vibration from the grinder worked its magic, mo grips and 1/2 day job done! Roof finished??!!! What ??? I was expecting at least a week faffing. So after all this time we have a proper working leak proof poptop. Damn suppose we are going camping then. Cupboards to finish during evenings... So the moral of the story, dont think the worse sometimes things just work!
I do the same ,worry about a job that is going to be a pig ,put it off ,put it off and then one day get in the zone and do it! Then think why the hell did a I pussyfoot round it... well done stan the worlds your oyster...
Thanks for the kind workds. Here is the guide I did - http://www.thelatebay.com/index.php...ncertina-roof-refurb-guide.21401/#post-349990 I will post up some pics of the finished product tonight. Still need to finish the headlining around the edges but the worse job is done!
