Which motors did you use for the electric windows?

 

The motors were from a BMW, they have the same drive gear as the VW so a fairly easy modification. Like this - https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=96710&highlight=bmw window

 

Got mine today. God, it's huge. Not sure I have the courage to start drilling 14mm holes. It'll wait.

I meant an electric drill not a hand powered drill

 

I meant that the holes are enormous.

Cutting holes bigger than a few mm in sheet metal, better to use a firtree cutter (Screwfix one is good). Big holes with a twist drill never work out, as the flutes of the drill catch and you end up with a right raggedy mess. The firtrees cut a nice clean hole as big as you like - recommended.

If you're drilling holes in your van, get one

 

They work perfectly normally, pull the stalk towards you and the HID high beams burn a hole in the back window of the car in front.

Actually, the headlights are LED and I seldom get close enough to anything with a back window.

 

Do they have the BMW auto-flash-in-the-outside-lane function?
