Spark plug gaps

  1. With the ignitor II it says you can use larger gaps. What do you run? Normal gaps or larger, if so what size?

  2. I guess you get a bigger spark with a bigger gap?

  3. Is a bigger spark necessarily better?

  4. Burns more fuel!!

Forget it though, the ignitor 2 that my parents got me for my birthday is only for a 009/050 dizzy and I don't have that one. Pertornix do do an ignitor 2 for my dizzy but I can only order it from the states by the looks of things.

In an ideal world I would have an MCD unit but they are pushing £500

  5. If the spark is up to the original VW spec, there's nothing to be gained by making it bigger. You can light a fuse of a stick of dynamite with a match or use an oxyacetylene torch, the effect is the same ;)

More important is to have the ignition and fuel system fully working
