So what’s the secret ingredient? Whenever I make GF pastry it’s just a bit crumbly for the pie crust is it the cornflour? Not tried adding that
Seems straightforward enough .... Have to watch out for Palm oil in a lot of the margarines mind ... if the environment is on your "to do list"
My grandmothers . A circle of quarter inch thick dry short pastry with a smear of mincemeat and sugar. Kept warm on the gas boiler 24/7.. or maybe not.
i've used xantham to make gf stuff a bit more 'together', but as i've never made pastry, i don't know if it'll work
Hmmm, good shout, thanks - I'll give it a try …. when you say you've never made pastry, you mean gf pastry right?? I mean, without pastry there is no Homity Pie, the greatest pie in all the world, and that would just be wrong!
