Very nice! What's left to be done? Connecting the pipes and wiring? Also that small patch of rust at the bottom of the rear valance on an otherwise very neat looking bus (or at least from the point of view of this picture) makes me un confortable.
connect cooling pipes, sort fuel pump and fuel lines, sort intake and associated piping, sort exhaust and sort gearchange connection out. so not much!! the rust is just surface rust and will clean up ok but i kind like the used, not perfect look
Its coming along nicely Matt, looking good. Although you could probably get an angled intake on the TB, will it not be a pain routing the throttle cable that way round?
Bit more fiddling tonight and it now turns over and builds oil pressure and puts the oil light out so that works!! @Dubs the throttle cable will run in a nice loop round and in as normal really. I'll try and do a pic tomorrow to show what I mean. Loads of room for a silicon right angle to fit and then just a right angle of ally tube and intake is done. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
Throttle cable in and working perfectly. RJES sells some good quality stuff. @Dubs Also made a start on plumbing in the fuel lines. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
I called RJES and as he said he's an engineering company they have no interest in doing the scooby conversions, just manufacturing the stuff.
Yep, he'll sell the kits and stuff but not do the conversion, which is fair enough I think. Pretty sure he's a one man band or maybe a couple of them. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
Money??? Never heard of this thing.... Have you done a review somewhere? What were the reasons for the upgrade? Is it any good?
Main reason was to get a steering rack as the steering box was rubbish. I can drive down the road with one finger on the wheel holding it in a straight line. Basically I love it Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
Great work Looking forward to seeing the gearing set up! Currently saving the pennies to do a similar install with RJES parts, Subaru gears maybe later
