As it was nice and warm I took the opportunity to grease the front beam/axle and all the five nipples responded well with grease oozing from the bearing cups.

Took her for a rigorous run and we now have a lovely balanced front end.

Bit late for today! But... Yesterday a great young couple wanted to use our bus for their wedding. Decked her out with flowers and bunting. Great day, great weather [IMG][IMG]

Filler filler filler filler sand sand sand. Take slider off to get at rusty spot beside seal. Fix it . Put slider back on. Fill and paint hole in track cover.

Get depressed by 6 year old front wheel arch. Hit with hammer till rust stops falling out the hole.
Fill it ... sand it paint it. Another part to buy ....

Waxoyl. Then underseal round hole I drilled in offside front wheel arch inner box to put waxoyl in.

Buy more bolts for drivers door bottom hinge A pillar, because heads chewed 78p for 6 .. . Now need to adjust it.

Soon time to check fuel pump pressure.

Its so much easier doing Waxoyl on a hot day. It actually turns into a clear liquid and flows rather than setting solid in the pipes on the average autumn day.

Another discovery was using a bit of thin silicone hose pushed over the end of the hard hose would allow filling cavities through narrow drain slots, where the hard tube and end of the plastic probe will not fit.

However the new pressure dispenser I have has a really annoying fault where it leaks air so you tighten it by hand until the leak stops.
Then it locks so tightly I have to put it in a padded vice to get a grip to loosen it ...

On arriving home after 3 nights at Camper Calling I decided I was going to resolve the smell of gas issue when returning to the van.

Wish me luck as we are at VW Action on Friday.

Going to find a gas supply company tomorrow to replace all pipes, unions, joints, regulator and sealing paste

  18. If you'd used Dynax, Mike, you'd only have to press the button on an aerosol ;)...

I found out yesterday that the dash light dimmer works on my van. Only had it three years and never knew it had one.

Something else I don't need to fix

But how do you get the stuff that runs out of the other drain holes back into the pressure can ?
I reckon about 20-30% comes out again...
