The altenative Man utd are called fc united of Manchester and are run by disgruntled Man utd supporters who appose the Amrican owners and the debt they brought to the club. They have done quite well since forming and are now just a league below conference and ultimately league football status, They play their home games at Gigg lane Bury. A lot of them are my old utd mates and I suppose I am a closet fc utd supporter. each time I go on their website I smile at the season ticket prices and the statement attached to it " Or whatever you can afford!" I gave up following the football a while back....primarily due to the whole players' wages debacle...used to watch Bolton Wanderers on a regular basis, but couldn't reconcile what it was costing me, compared to what the snotty boys on the pitch were earning...My nephew's at Blackburn youth at the moment...mad keen.., but he watches Accrington Stanley...only because he can afford to go, on his pocket money.
