Caps Lock Day campaigns for the removal of the caps lock button from standard QWERTY keyboards (or for the moving of the button), due to people continually accidently pressing the button when they mean to use other keys. There’s also a tendency for people to ‘shout’ (either intentionally or accidently) by using capital letters when typing, especially online, and Caps Lock Day would remove this minor annoyance. oops

How do I detach the button off my iPad keyboard? I tried a spoon, knife, tooth pick and various other sharp things but I just can't seem to get under it. If it's ok with you I have just used a sharpie marker pen to colour it in so I can't see it for the day? KINDEST REGARDS - GreAT iDeA
Just a quick update. I can no longer see my email app as the sharpie has covered the icon when the keyboard disappears. Any ideas?
Those tablets things respond well to vigorous shaking. Never fails on my 'granddaddy of tablets' Etch a Sketch.
I rarely have problems with THE CAP LOCK IN FACT IT WORKS reallY WeLl In answer to @beatnick here's an Aussie version
using caps lock instead of shift is a bad habit i picked up early on when typing and have never been able to get out of the habit ...
My keyboard plays up so I never know when I have caps lock on or even if a key has worked until I look up from the keyboard- COS I TYPE BY LOOKING AT THE KEYBAORD NOT THE SCREEN.
