Type 1 heat exchangers

    They look like repro's to me,originals have more fins,have a look at attached photo's

    Right hand side original.left repro!

  4. The originals have far more surface area inside and out which obviously helps with the heat dissipation

    Cheers, the outer cases are like net curtains, the collars are non existent so they rattle like funk! Not worth the trouble of repairing if they're repro's.
     
  6. Check the weight. I recently moved mine around in the garage, picked up a genuine one put it to one side, picked up what I thought was a genuine one and nearly chucked it out the window it was so light
