My van insurance has risen from £154 to £268 since last year. I’m with Carole Nash who I’ve always been happy with but this seems a bit of a hike. Has anyone any other recommendations please? Thanks
Hagerty £257 last year ( policy expires next month) includes agreed value and UK / Europe breakdown cover. Good to deal with
Car insurance has gone up massively this year, my multicar policy increased by 450 , shopped around and still a very similar price, no cheaper insuring single vehicles, 1x mk7 golf gtd 1x vw t25 1xvw t5.1 That's with out the bay I now pay nearly 1800 per year
..well..been with carole nash for quite few years never really bothered to shop around as the renewal price was pretty much the same every year..this year though from about £250 it went up to £680 for no reasons..can’t really use comparison sites as they don’t recognise my reg number so gave them a call to let them know I didn’t want to go ahead with this silly renewal offer..they tried again to get it lower and after 15 minutes on the phone and whooping offer of £560 or so I laughed and said thanks..gave a ring to Lancaster Insurance (had my bug insured with them years ago) and after 10 minutes of conversation been offered a full cover ( no recovery as I dont need it) for £215 so no questions asked went ahead with it and problem solved
I renewed with Lancaster again. Footman James were semi competitive (higher mileage allowance) but oddly, they don't do no claims bonus. Not 100% sure if NCB is a thing that is relevant on the van though...
