I have for sale an original Devon Motent awning (also marketed by VW as the Volkswagen Motent), as made specifically for the T2 during the 1970s. I bought it from an acquaintance who was moving and downsizing and couldn't take it with him, but realistically, I'm never going to use it as I already have a pull out canopy and rarely camp anywhere more than 2 nights. This really is in great condition with no rips, tears or splits and all zips and fittings as they should be. The PO has recently fitted all new rubbers and guy ropes, will just need pegs and the 2 guys which optionally attach to the side window flap or main side door opening. The frame is straight and true, but a couple of the spring connections which connect individual poles have come away. Comes with what I understand are the original curtains (in a lightweight oilcloth type fabric), a groundsheet, awning/gutter strip and what appears to be a modern, small inner tent which could possibly be suspended from the main awning frame, thrown in. Asking £130 for it, collection only from near Kettering, Northamptonshire or could possibly deliver to Stanford Hall on May 1st or Techenders the following weekend.
