  1. Hi folks,

I have three coolers for sale, all can be posted, collected from banbury or delivered to the HOD open day next weekend....

Blue Pepsi single dot cooler from the 40's, some nice patina and a bit of surface rust but nothing penetrating. Small compression in the lid which should push out from the inside and one of the top corner caps is missing £110ono

Silver 60's Pepsi cooler with hinged lid and front latch. Mostly clean and tidy but has a little corrosion to one bottom corner that's caused a tiny hole, also the drain plug is loose £100ono

Silver Schlitz cooler with hinged lid from the 50's nice condition but dose have an arse print in the lid, will probably push out from the inside though as its not hat deep £100ono

The two silver ones appear to be aluminium and the blue ones steel.

Will add more pics later of individual ones or contact me here with an email address and I'll mail hem to you.

Not that it makes a huge difference but that single dot Pepsi is post 1951.
    ;)

  5. Well if you really want to pay a grand.... :)

As regards the single dot age thing....

I'm referring to the dot in the centre of the Pepsi cola writing, have I got the wrong end of the stick with that bit? I know for certain it was advertised to me as 40's before I bought it however I'm assuming the original advertiser had his facts right so.....

Pepsi changed from Pepsi:Cola to Pepsi.Cola in 1951.

  7. Thanks for the help on the age of the blue cooler, I've done a bit more digging and it's definitely a single dot 50's item so not from the 40's at all :-(

Sorry if I caused any confusion, I had assumed the original American advert I bought it from was correct but it was a whole decade out! ;)

People often advertise them as 40's because there are very few about compared to 50s models, making them a fairly rare cooler.
