I've never been to this show before but wanting to branch out from the normal north east show scene and thinking this could be a good start. Just thinking how does this show normally work? When does camping open?, What its normally like? evening entertainment, etc. Just its going to be at least a 7 Hour drive for me to get there so just want to make sure its worth the drive.
I imagine I won't go next year .. it's a good show - but camping is a bit naff ... just a field - bar and usually a band. Not great facilities - but an interesting show ... They also have great 'free' tractor rides if the weather is bad ...
Volksworld's a great show to go to, we missed last year due to the snow setting in but in previous years its been glorious sunshine! This years a no-go for us, Ive got to do a week's company product training commencing the same weekend (& had to grovel to finish the course early for the TLB Eskdale weekend)
May go this year as van up and running have not been for 3 years depends how cold it is if I camp or not!
I've been a few times and find/found it pretty crap. Weather wise I've had sun, rain & snow. But you should go and find out for yourself.
we usually stay in a Premier Inn so we can have a nice meal or two and also go to Hampton Court or something similar on the sunday, makes for a decent weekend (weather has been good on the occaisions we have been)!
