  5. Anyone?

  6. It may help if you post up a piccy as there are several types of spring in the seat (couldn't see a pic)

Also, you cannot weld these sucessfully, they'll just break again. That said you could get hold of some brake pipe and small U clamps and repair this way, was an article in practical classics many years ago

  10. Hi I can't seem to PM you so I'll pop it here

Thanks for the reply, I ideally need 2 of the spiral springs for under the area of the drivers thigh if that makes sense
Would you be willing to let me have two and at what cost
That said I'd hate to see seats busted for spares if anyone else could use them on here but if they are beyond hope I guess it's ok
    Thanks

  13. Received springs and had a good look last night but gutted that they aren't the same, mine are 73 apparantly squareish seats, the springs are coiled into a circle at one end and the other seems to unwind and end in a straight section, this then locates in a tube o the seat base, is this normal? Does anyone have spare springs of this type.
    Will take photos at weekend

  14. Hi Mate ! i've been looking out for this thread . I got a seat base off My Old Mate Rickyroo ;D . The base and springs were slightly different to the original ones . If you can post a couple of pics of your seat base i can tell you if i can help you . Some base like the one i got off Rick have a metal frame underneath if this makes any sense and the older 72/73 ones don't and are a bit different . I reckoned that if the springs were the same length and width roughly then they would be ok . Anyhow post a couple of pics and we'll see how it goes . cheers mate Mick 8)
