How often should I change > or do I even need to> the tip and shroud on my welding torch? I'm a beginner so they been getting a bit cruddy but I can scrape most of it off. It's not like the wires getting stuck or owt like that but just wondered how clean I should keep em? Tar much
I find the tips stay a lot cleaner by spraying the torch with some anti splatter spray. I've probably gone through 4 tips over the complete resto of my van. They are easier to clean with anti splatter spray on them.
When mine get the wire stuck i remove them give them a little tickle with a small fine file pull the wire out and re use them I use 0.6 wire with an 0.8 tip as i find they last longer this way although others may slap me and explain why thats a bad idea
