Something always breaks or won't work when someone else drives it. It puts me off letting them touch it never drive it. Is it just me or do you feel the same?
No, I let you drive mine a whole 200 yards down the road....... I got a friend and neighbour of mine to drive it to the garage last February when I was crocked - I added him to the insurance before I let him do it though.
Sorry, that was meant to be a joke at my expense - ask Penny, she will tell you how monumentally precious I am about my vehicles. Even the crap ones.
my lady drives mine as her daily i get to drive it ocasionaly i spend more time repairing it than i do driving it and i wouldnt change it for anything
I'd been with my mrs a year before I let her drive my Mk1....and even then it was only 20 yards around the camping field at a show.....and THAT was only because she nagged me so much about not letting her drive it lol I always pointed out that I trusted her but if she crashed it our relationship might not recover fully hahaha
I looked a beetle once ,the engine had twin chokes and very fast ,the owner reckoned the engine was missing ,I drove it down the road super fast ,coming to a junction at 60 pressed the brake and it went straight to the floor.... After , she said you have to pump it a bit....
Only @Fish has driven my bus a few hundred yards. The wife has attempted it once but spent so long coasting around in neutral I decided not to count that. I have nothing against other people driving it, but I bet I would have to reverse it off the drive for them.
