thanks well aware of the struggles ahead but in no rush..and doing lots of research before doing anything..
Plan to give yourself at least 4 years... unless your at it every day for 8 hours a day, and have a bucket load of spare cash to draw from. Buy a used welder, plenty of them around, I was surprised how useable a wee clarke 140 was, bought it off a mate for £50 as it was more mobile than the Lincoln mig .. Dont bother with gassless its useless.. and wire is expensive.. You could do CO2 but its got its limitations, best option is Hobby Gas aron mix, no rental fees .. You will need a couple of grinders boxes and boxes of flap wheels and 0.8mm cutting discs, if you can stretch to a plasma cutter it would be useful and speed things up.. a selection of chisels of differing lengths, lots and lots of vice grips, of varying styles, full metric socket set 3/8 drive and half inch for the easy to get to bigger stuff, lots of elastoplast and a couple of packs of skin closures... you cant spend valuable restoration time at Casualty so you need to be able to patch yourself up... bog roll and masking tape also work to stem the blood loss from deeper lacerations ..
