Having treated myself to this at the weekend... I got to wondering what was in the bus when it was first delivered new. Was the book in some kind of cover ? We're there any other documents it would have come with etc ? If you know, could you perhaps post a piccie so that I know what I am looking for when rummaging about at the shows. Thanks. Bus is a 1977 Westfalia that went to California.
Service pack with owners operating manual - service book dealer spiel, radio book if radio ordered and all in plastic case. Other than that Jack and spare wheel.
seriously some you fellas laid out for a "just out the wrapping " camper ? that would imo be mental (in a great way)
Not really. My bus certainly is not just 'out of the wrapping' and I hope it never is or I will be too scared to take it anywhere, but I am working (myself) to get it back to where it might have been had it just been well looked after over the years.
I am also younger than my bus ................just , there was a website that I could never find again ( once I lost it) which had lots on interior pictures of the different set ups. I know ours still has a couple of orginal micro bus features ( and I say that in the manner or a couple of black bits and that's just about that) I think I googled vw campervan devon conversion .........................
There would have also have been a booklet with the list of distributors and dealers across europe (or the US if it was sold new there) and a possibly some dealer diagnosis coupons.
A version of this. It's a sleeve that went over the sun visor to help you in your first few hundred miles. Think by the style of the steering wheel shown, this ones from a beetle but everything else is the same
I have a service pack, tool pack that came with the van , will post some pictures when I get a minute, also got one of those sun visor instruction sheets
There should also be a booklet explaing how the Campmobile/Deluxe equipment works I seem to recall...
