When they moved HP Sauce from the midlands to Holland but kept the Houses of Parliament on the label I refused to buy it (it's a funny word in this instance, refused - it's not like I was given a hard sell, I simply didn't stop at that point of the store aisle, but anyway, not one ounce darkened my door). After a few months I realised the impact this was having on my bacon sandwich options and folded - I reason it tastes the same, the HOP wasn't in the midlands and the people that used to make it are probably gainfully employed now. As for car loyalty - never had any huge issues with any cars I've had - put it this way - the car I own now is the only one ever that was bought from a dealer that had cups of tea with those posh rounded edge sugar cubes - the rest I've expected Marmite service and got better than expected.
Having had 3 new nissan work vans 2 cabstars 1 primastar i would never buy a nissan whether it be car or van, maybe the cars are different but the build quality on the vans is awful, my current one is 3 1/2 years old and already has perforated rust on the wheel tub, the exhaust has fallen off within the 1st year on 2 of them, leaky diff on one, wire feed to a brake light corroded and broken on another, rattly engines whiny turbo's, poor design, The list goes on.
I thought the Primastar was the same as a Vauxhall Vivaro - my old business partner swears by the Vauxhall versions, he loves them! Wonder if they are different (presumed it was the same factory, different badges), there was a Renault version of the same thing as I recall...
in truth out of the 3, the primastar was better than the cabstars, but still pretty poor quality over all. gearbox trouble with one if i remember.
