Having spoken to the bar manager and been told what a complete knob he was being that night I think he got away lightly only being smacked once. I'd say he pretty much asked for and deserved it. No way was he punched "full-on". If he was he wouldn't have got up again. His problem is he constantly plays the big I am. Was a fairly good player in his day, useless yesterday though.
Parts cost £1400 alone. Whats dissapointing is when I bought it I had receipts from a 4 grand resto in 2006 ,can see the arches have been changed all round but the front 2 are completely shot again ,couldnt see it happen either ,rotted from inside to out.
Thank Christ no one mentioned Pete Burns. And, in regard to Gavin Henson, whoever has kicked the back doors of a church in has my vote!
It's not a shock that someone tanked up was a knob - pity none of his team 'mates' chose to take him outside and put him in a taxi. Having met him (admittedly once) but also knowing a few people that know him well - he's simply just a bit thick. I think a lot of the Welsh guys (am thinking Andy Powell) are used to adulation in Wales, and can't comprehend that people elsewhere don't have a default of 'they are great, buy them a drink'. When you come from an environment where smoke is blown up your arse, it can make you bigger than you are - he does suffer from that. I still don't agree that being punched is deserved - who's being held back in that video, who is backing off in that video. Regarding Henson's form - agree, he is dismal at the moment - and possibly that's the bar for him for here on in.
^^^^This^^^^^^ Thickness is not an excuse. From the footage i saw, he took a single jab and dropped like a rock.
You genuinely believe that if someone is a particular way, and isn't intelligent enough to know how to change or even read situations, then they deserve physical abuse to 'learn' them - that's the education process? If I was Henson I'd sue the ***** out of Fearn's on basic principle alone. Read the body language in the clip - Henson's t shirt is being pulled/held by Fearn's (watch Fearn's right hand before the punch) and Henson's right hand is open, in a passive way. If Henson was going to be violent he would have his hands closer together and fists clenched, he also wouldn't be backing away, Fearn's on the other hand has got hold of his t-shirt and is walking towards him pushing the guy holding him back, he then hit's him. Can't comment on the 'jab' - unsure if that's a measure of a person's toughness, or indeed relevant, I do know 18 stone blokes walking towards you and hitting with their dominant hand can cause a lot of damage.
It's a great pub, especially on match day! We'll have to agree to disagree about Henson @Moons, I've always said he's a knob and I'm not going to change my opinion now. I know a few pro rugby players, (not welsh ones admittedly) and can honestly say none of them have the attitude Henson's got.
At least if he sued Fearns Bath would probably bin them both off. Henson certainly wouldn't be a loss.
I haven't said he isn't a knob - I have said why I think he is one. I agree on his current form he is well off the talent of his backline team mates.
I like that 70's look, doesn't really smell like old people's homes but it does have a certain I don't know what in French... I've yet to see a bespoke interior that I've liked,,too shiney, too new, too er..soul-less for me n the bread knife,,,give us period furniture with wobbly, if not absent, edging strips, and we're happy bunnies
Back on the topic of conversions a Catholic exorcism is a good ole conversion if it works. Failed on me though but that's probably because I'm not Catholic.
