Where can you get those little pull along trolly things being pulled around at Volksworld

  1. I contemplated getting one, but purely for practical purposes (though they are flipping expensive). We went to Womad last year (going again this year) and the camping was quite a trek from the main stages/food etc, and I thought it would be handy to have one to load all the paraphernalia in we needed for the day/evening so we didn't have to go back to the van too often (picnic blanket/assorted layers of clothes/picnic/drinks etc). Mr Moosey disagreed. I'm also not allowed to get an old lady shopping trolley to use for this purpose, either...

  2. And people wonder why kids are so fat these days? If that had been me, when I was a kid, we wouldn't have been dragged around in a wagon, we'd have had to WALK and if we threw a tantrum, we'd get a smack.

I already did the first time we went to Vanfest, said Mum ran into me & clobbered said ankle..good job I was polite due to children being present, she was far from apologetic :D

  4. I can see how it would prove really useful for that, I'd get one if that's what I was using it for. But I'd respray it to match the van just to be an awkward sod and peel all the stickers off it. ;)

    I'd just use a bag.

Are they strong enough to hold drunken partners?
If so, I reckon we could use one for our camping weekends. Ms.T is a terrible lush you know :D:rolleyes:

And pulling a stupid little trolley through the mud would help your back no end!
Come on, admit it: you want one really!
    :)

(Ps. Going to see Dave tomorrow!)

  9. We got ours purely for doing the school run and by that I mean my Mrs runs the pta and it means we always have loads of prizes and food and stuff for stalls etc, makes it easy to walk it round the 250 yards to school rather than drive. And yeah I guess we will take it camping as well.

  11. I got one for my boy 2 years ago, he's been in it once. It's now going to be mutilated and turned into a mobile engine test jig. :)

  12. Me too - you pay to go to a show and you cant move for middle aged blokes on choppers, families with road trains of little red wagons and knobbers with 15 dogs standing in front of what you want to look at. but hey ...its a family scene isnt it!!

  13. We have a wooden one used it for a year but last year too muddy. It was intended and worked really well as a late night bed for the boys so we could stay up and see music at festivals beyond their bedtime.

  14. A hell of a lot less harmful than a big heavy bag on my shoulders :p I have a granny-shopper which I have been using while I'm still hobbling around with a stick. I think I'm going to keep using it once my leg is better again.

(Say hi to Dave for me. I owe him 8 quid, and I need to speak to him about some of my electrics....)

  15. Exactly the kids are fat enough anyway - get those lazy ****** to walk for a bit! Lazy lard ar** sods! ;) I want to start selling dog poo on a cone at VW shows charge £1.50 and make a fortune! Might as well.............

  16. i bought one for my nephew last year. it's great for taking to the park with lots of toys in and easier than a pushchair. it's been used on beaches, woodland, in the snow and to play school and for his mums shopping... it has never been near my camper or bug. and it'll be used for his brother/sister on the way and i dare say he'll be able to pull them along by then. bargain! :)

  17. Oh yes the pulling each other along is the added bonus.

  18. About as much use as those childrens scooters i see parents carrying all the time :p

  19. I've got one, but it's purely to drag tools from my shed to the van. I got it in machine mart

  20. Wouldn't something with just two big fat tyres have worked better?
