My starter motor has given up the ghost. I have had a look around but can only find them upto 1975, not sure why. Can anyone point me in the direction or link me to one that is suitable for my van 1979, stock 1600 TP engine. Thanks once again in advance

Do you have an autoelectricians locally that would recondition yours, we have them around here, £70 for a dynamo and £75 ish for a sm.
I heard that a factory reconditioned starter/alternator has the casing shotblasted and painted, and everything else is brand new
