  2. What engine? Upright or pancake?

  3. If it was that hot maybe you have vapour lock in the fuel lines.

  4. 1600 Weber ICT 34. Just had fuel shut off fitted but there’s a man over ride. It’s been difficult starting hot this weekend

  5. If it’s v lock how do I resolve?

  6. Vapour lock?

Are your fuel pipes running over the manifold?

  8. Ok, I have a 2.0 fuel injection and had something similar a few weeks ago, but I think it was fuel related. I’ll leave it to the others, so I don’t confuse things

  14. Hi, you really shouldn't run with a pressure gauge permanently attached. They are for quick set up only as they are prone to leaking.

If it was running at 120C either you are going fast, or you have tuning issues.

And when the engine is that hot, the cylinder heads are even hotter, and the carburettors are close by.

All you can do is wait, then fit the thick gaskets when you can.

  18. Thanks Mike - steady 55 on M5. I'll fit some thicker gaskets. Just had the timing done, but I do need to sort the carb set up. Fuel pump and dissy hot too

  19. Check your jets the next time you have the chance. ICTs are notorious for being supplied with incorrect ones - especially the emulsion tubes.

  20. Thanks - I changed to 145 mains, 165 airs, 55 idles, F6 emulsion and 150 float.. just need to set up - I've had a crack but a bit hit n miss
