Realistically half a litre loss/useage over 3000 miles is what you should be looking at, at the most!!

 

make it a habbit check the oil level every time you fill up gas

 

I do nearly always as its flat and has hand towels to clean the dip stick

 

Unless your flywheel oil seal ,pushrod oil seals or rocker gaskets are weeping as lots of dubs are
Then the need for topping up becomes more frequent

Holmsens tip of checking the oil every time you put fuel in is a good tip
as once you have done it a few times it becomes habbit
