A turd covered in Glitter . Move away from the new station or the Oracle shopping centre and venture down Oxford Road or Cemetery Juction and you will see a different side .
Not really….I just find most people have zero consideration of others. I missed 3 connections today because people had cases too big and heavy for them to get on and off the train….each station too a good 10 mins longer that normal, 5 stations and an hour late. Why do people take more than they can carry and assume everyone else will drop everything and give them a hand….why not, especially if you are young and healthy literally carry your own weight? I might be old and ‘tut’ ridden, but I sort my own s*** out so I doesn’t inconvenience others. Accidents and things you can’t foresee happen yes….but a lot of today was completely avoidable too.
Ever thought of buying yourself a jagged rock in the Bristol Channel and declaring it an independent state, devoid of normal people?
People are imperfect, it’s the human condition. but that’s not an excuse for wilfully inconsiderate behaviour. Why do you conclude my worldview means I’m the one that needs isolation from ‘normal’ people?
Because I'm guessing there was one bloke on the train tutting, huffing and puffing whilst everyone else was just being normal, perhaps travelling the route for the first time, carry luggage that they wish to carry, as there are no restrictions that I know of. I'm sure they all got off at their various destinations, thinking the tutter should loosen his tie and top button on his first train trip from Cardiff to London in 36 years......whilst bemoaning that everyone should be like him....
Yeah….my postings on here of the journey as it happened ably demonstrate my seething anger at the whole affair. I do my tutting in private. Dare I mention your replies to me are a little….shall we say…..tut like?
become a truck driver it’s a life of solitude completed by being shunned by society in times of crisis when you’re helping feed the country and when that task is complete your boss becomes a contemptible ass towards you all, at which point your wish for solitude becomes complete!
My favourite thing with truck drivers is me having a 3 course meal on the A1 while watching them have a race
On the car? This one is 23 years old….mechanically it seems in good order, though I’m getting an antifreeze whiff from somewhere. It’s a bit bruised and battered both inside and out…the last owner was an appliance repair man, apparently they like the ability to sack truck up two washing machines into them….so needs a hood clean and I’ll see what’s what. It drives fine….the only unexpected thing was how poor the headlights are, very bay tastic!
Mines the next version up after yours on a 2009 plate and still has crap headlights Osram night breaker bulbs help At least yours doesn’t have an excessive amount of electronics on it to go wrong
Probably the longest run it's had in years, might have eased a coolant line or split the reservoir? Have a look at the coolant reservoir cap seal as well, there's often several versions/upgrades. I guess it's of an age before needless electronics and gadgetry ? I've looked at the VW Max Life equivalent for similar loading reasons, to transport scooters without hernia-inducing manual lifting....
