It’s a very tidy bus which has been used very much, has travelled up and down the UK to a lot of places, has given us great memories but having two buses, a very busy workload at work leaves me with little spare time so I want to focus on keeping one well maintained. After all, you can’t use two buses at once!

It does need little bits here and there; the left hand long panel has a little half inch (max) section which needs attention.

The chassis has a couple of patches where the paint needs rubbing back and repainting / waxoyl reapplying which I hope to get sorted out when the weather warms up.

The asking price is £14,000 or nearest offer.

Located in Kirkby in Ashfield, Notts.

GLWS Mark, I doubt if it will hang around long at that price.

Was the bus attached to the speedo at the time it was dropped?:)

    Thanks Geoff!

Luckily the speedo pod was away from the bus up high on a shelf at work..I moved some other bits and it went flying as I caught it :(

    This! ∆ ∆ ∆ ∆ ∆

I know you think our LHD tinny was the biz but we were offered £18k unseen by a guy in Germany eighteen months ago, and had £20k in the end .....
You also have the units, the tow, the LX, and the documented history to boot.
I really do think this should be pitched higher ... TLB aside of course

    Cheers Mike,

the documented history is only what I’ve put together since 2008, pre that there was nothing (Major has the documents to match his history), being completely honest.

I will list on eBay in the coming weeks and I will also post some more photos close up of the body / chassis etc.

Pre 2008 not much of an issue with so much visual resto history on offer imho.
You could do worse than sticking it on Car and Classic ... Ours sold through local word-of-mouth but most interest came through C&C

    PS
Just asked one of our enquirer's as they collect various classics. "European" prices have slumped apparently, so C&C not so useful in that way any more ........

  16. Lovely bus Mark  and as many have already said I think it’s worth more :)
Not the best time of year to be selling though.
    Good luck

I'm sure you know this already @MorkC68 but the market post Christmas is for buyers, not sellers - I'm currently hoovering up a few Vespas that are probably 25% cheaper than they will be in three months time.

If you can hang on until the spring why not attend to the little bit of panel work and then advertise for the early Bank Holidays and summer interest, got to be circa £18k then?

I'm quite happy with the price Ive put it up for sale at, being honest its priced to sell on for someone to enjoy and use like we have in the past.

I could wait till spring and sort the little bits out that need doing but work is getting busier and training for the Three Peaks Challenge late april leaves me with little time, especially as I want to keep the westy in tip - top condition and narrow down to the one bus.

    Zed Gradually getting grumpier

Trouble is, at that price people with money may wonder if there's a hidden catch! It might sell more easily if you raised the price - sounds crazy but you know how newbies think!
