I'm after the buses that go in the end of the throttle bar. You know, the bar that the accelerator cable attaches to and controls the dual carbs. The bush from the right hand side is missing and I believe is stopping the throttle returning correctly. Thanks
i have replaced the hindge complete with one from bq for £2.50 COMPLETE AND WORKS A TREAT , no need for bushes i ll get a pic uo for yee owen nw
Are you talking about the linkage bar on standard solexes on a type 4 engine. If so the bar goes straight onto the swivel (ball) at one end and the other end should have a spring and a cupped piston (not sure how to describe). What have you got on yours?
That's the word I was looking for 'linkage bar'. The left side fits on fine, the right side has a spring inside it but no cup so there is a little movement in the bar.
Would this be enough to stop the linkage bar returning fully? I've screwed the idle return screws in but the idle is too high, a little twist on the bar brings the idle down to where it should be and rests on the screw stoppers. Thought the spring was worn so trimmed it and refitted so it has more pull but that didn't work.
It seems that I had the accelerator cable fitted too tight. Released that off a bit and now idles but still need to cup thing.
I need that bit too. The long linkage bar has a spring in the rh side and then a little cup that goes on to the ball of the carb bracket. Can't put a pic of it as its missing
