Assistance later this year

  1. So, I was looking at putting a Porsche engine in, but following some advice from Zed (thanks Steve) I decided against this, I have now decided to upgrade my engine and on the advice of Laurie Petit I am going to have my existing engine rebuilt with some 1800 and 2000 bits, what I need is :

Assistance in taking my engine out, I am sure I can do this, but having never done this on a bus or aircooled engine, I really don;t want to mess something up, so, later this year (after Busfest) is anyone able to come help me drop the engine please ? (I am in the West Mids near to the Merry Hill centre, Quarry Bank / Brierley Hill)

Oh, and putting it back in once the work is done :)

    Thanks in advance

  6. fitting a Porsche engine is easy, just 4 bolts

everyone knows that, even that bloke down the pub

  7. I would be there like a shot to help you. But I don't know a spanner from a screwdriver and haven't got a clue about this sort of stuff. But if you want me to help with lifting anything then just let me know.
