Bay Washer Nozzles

No, not the Winchester Washer-Nozzles, Hugo and Cressida (lovely people!)

Anyone used the Topran nozzles that folk sell? Are they ok? I'm resigned to the fact that they'll wobble in the front panel unless you glue them in with mastic.

 

Answer my own question. They're fine. Do need a bit of mastic to stop them wobbling. Squirting like a 6-pinter now

Did you try them with the old rubber gaskets or had they perished?

 

They were wrecked getting the old ones out. Can't really get them out properly from behind the panel, so brute force is necessary.

 

Probably just an age thing...

 

I can’t remember how I did mine possibly needle nosed pliers
I have wondered if it could be done by pushing a deep socket over to press the tabs in

 

Could do either...if you can get to them.

 

I've done it too with a flat blade screwdriver. One hand outside, one inside, one barb then the other. Not so difficult.

 

I removed mine with the windscreen in place and didn’t use brute force like others are saying is needed
But it was a long while ago so can’t remember how exactly I did it.
The dash was out though.

 

My windscreen was in as was the dash, I have long arms.

 

I have had some success with the socket method in the past, although it’s still fiddly
