I want to remove my beam adjusters to fit some dropped spindles, can they be removed without taking the beam off. They have to be removed as they have been fitted incorrect, at their highest settings they are low. So can't just back them off and just leave there. I believe that They were fitted in America before the an came over.
You should be able to unsrew it, then grind/cut off the base plate. You'd need a piece to fill in the appeture with a hole in it in the right position.
