anyone know if headlight beam converters are still ok for mot, i know they were going to be introduced as a fail but i thought i wasnt until ajnuary next year cheers
thought they were always officially a fail as there temporary change and dont give the kick up to the left on the beam tester that is required?
why not just get some shiny dirt cheap replacement lamps? These are very good quality and slip straight into the 'one screw' light units http://www.holden.co.uk/displayproduct.asp?sg=1&pgCode=010&sgName=Electrical&pgName=Lighting&agCode=0002&agName=Light+Units+-+7%22&pCode=010.044
cos they are on an prototype bay and i need them at 9 am , mot manual says not a reason for failure but the mot dude has failed them, i wanted so leverage
us vans have sealed beam units, uk ones dont, i could fit selaed beam ones but i dont have all the fittings as the van came with no lights, will see what i can do
the link I sent you means you just need to fit bulbs - I had so many kicking around in the shed it suited me, but they do full kits with all the bulbs included
they are standard 7 inch light units if you need sealed beam halfords sell them, they are same size as mini or landrover etc.
^^^ whs i have wipac mini h4 conversion ones in my us spec split and my mate fitted mini ones in his early, but i have read you can fit golf mk1/mk2 lamps to a late 3 screw bays to convert to h4
