Belly panels and stuff

  1. My camper has a middle belly panel fixed conveniently with M8 screws, and seems to be a useful component. No side belly panels I am pleased to say so that I can check my sills and underseal them. The bus passed it's MOT yesteday so I must be doing something right!
My question is does any one have a front underpanel at the front, under the pedals? Does anyone knnow where I can get one? Useful for keeping the wet stuff away and a plastic one would be great, just like modern vehicles have.

  2. Yes it should have one to cover the pedals ....check ebay

  3. if its got a bolt on centre belly panel it should have WELDED on side belly pans they were fitted to add strenght on the high stress vans ie high load panels or vans with holes in the roof or twin sliders etc. there is a place the does fibre glass bellypans but cant remember the name right now there were plenty off good original front pedal covers at vanfest at £60 for most i asked about

  4. You need a front belly pan to protect stuff and stop wind up your trouser legs...

  5. I did not mention trouser legs but you are right! Think I've found one now so looking forward to taking of the cycle clips!

Mine, now I think of it, was bought new in New Zealand, then imported to UK when it was 2. VW's attitude to these must have varied from country to country.

  9. There was an M-plate option for belly-pans - maybe several variations. Whatever, they weren't stock (apart from the front cover) unless you ordered them, I believe.
