Best way to fix bowed overhead cabinet in Westie

  2. So ... I don't have a central partition. It looks as if the base is fixed to the sides using 'pins' (?) of some type .. and, I guess, originally glued.

    I removed the cabinet today with some difficulty. The screws in the brackets (as shown in @theBusmonkey pictures above) were impossible to reach without a doubly-hinged arm .. which I am not equipped with. :( I really want to replace those brackets with something easier when I refit.

    I have used PVA glue and clamped it up. I plan to leave it overnight and check tomorow.

    I also need to order some more of the plastic 'T' shaped trim for the edges since some of that was lost before I had the bus.

    I called the captive nuts spire nuts but I was obvs getting confused as we'd had a post about the dash panel.
    They're T nuts. Four small L shaped brackets and t nuts inset into the upper bed base will see you right. Fit them where it's easy for you to get to.
    The headbanger is also screwed into the upright wardrobe iirc, just to give it a bit more stability :thumbsup:
