  1. Starts on the button, complete turnkey engine with flywheel including complete new clutch kit. Has engine bar and hangers and all ancillaries, exhaust with new exhaust fitting kit. Has new dizzy cap, leads, points etc. Stock blue coil.

I'll even include new fuel hose so all you need to do is connect up the hose connect the wires and away you go.

Located in Hereford, collection preferred, I can deliver depending on location

  2. first dibs

  3. any oil leaks ?

  4. its an aircooled VW. That's a bit like asking do bears marmite in the woods...

    :)

The 1800 engine I have in the back of my van is the only one i've ever had which doesn't leak. I'm guessing that is down to my superior engine building skills.

Back to the 1600 - I don't think it leaks excessively. I haven't used it for 4 weeks, went to it yesterday, turned the key and it started first time, no issues.

Its served a purpose of getting me a few vans through MOT's over the past few months whilst I built up some Type 4 engines. It drove me up and down the big hills from Hairyfoot to Malvern for Vanfest without any drama's and shuffled a big old Riviera along at a fair rate of knots. Quiet it is too, it was a pleasure to drive and left me questioning why mine is so noisy!

I can relay so far, probably as far as Lancaster but I can't deliver to Scotchland, so i'm guessing you'll need carriage.

But forget it now cos you don't want it.

  20. i've had a word with er in doors :) is the engine still in summat so i can hear it running, as she wants to hear it running before i can buy it, i can give ya hand to remove it if need be when im at yours?? Failing that, can you tell me roughly what mileage the engine is, and how many miles have you done with it??

She's a bit put off as i bought an engine from some1 a while back telling me it was a good runner, and its been nothing but a little Marmitee since, lol....but that person was some1 i didnt know that wel, and not a good poster on forums, so i trust ya a bit more than them, lol.....its just her i have to convince.....
