Hip Hip Hooray! We are back on line after waiting far too long for 02 to connect us up in our new home. So here it is....Place Farm It really is a dream come true to live in a detached house in the country with plenty of barn space for our VW's We have a great view a lovely garden and all this for a really cheap rent in exchange for us installing a damp proof course and modernising (in a very shabby chic way!) The house is actually owned by the district council and I expect they will sell it off with the land in a few years time but we have it for now for 3 years. We would love to buy it but it will prob cost over £500,000 which is way over our price range I'm afraid. We have lot's of work to do and I'm afraid it's all been a bit over shadowed by my recent cancer scare but hey ho we are trying to stay positive on that front. So if anybody fancies a trip to Hertfordshire we have plenty of space to park your van, perhaps we could host a local meet up sometime? Anyway it's good to be back as it's been hard to keep up with TLB news on the iphone and even tho I have gone from 50MB down to 1.5 in the countryside it really does feel great to be back in touch Deb and Col
That looks great. Maybe you could host a TLB working bee weekend to help with replacing the damp course? :
that looks lovely.....ohhh just think no neighbours moaning about...grinding, banging, a bit more grinding and cutting, swearing cos it wont fit ;D enjoy
Thank you every one. It sure is quiet and a very different way of life. Just had to look up Lamping as it seems that is what was going on in the neighbouring field last night. I had to be careful tho as last time I looked up dogging and tried to register on the site as I thought it was for dog walkers Colin was not too pleased!!!
Looks smashing guys, i,m glad youre getting sorted. Enjoy the peace and tranquility of the countryside. nick
