Just replaced the engine lid seal with a new one I've had for years but the lid won't shut properly and the new lock won't work.

Who supplies the best fitting ones from your own experience.

    These are just trouble.

These are great! Oh, can't find the good ones, they look a bit like this but one leg is longer.

I looked for the type @Zed recommended above but no-one seems to stock them.

Had mine from JK and, though it fits nice, blimey you need biceps like popeye to close the lid!

It’s because it’s a seal for the engine hatch inside the van ;)

The one I said "a bit like this" is yes, but not the one I use and was recommending, you can see it on my van. ;)

  9. Mine was a bit like this. I bought mine as part of a kit from Schofields. Yes its 'snug' but all I did was slighlty adjust the catch and then to lock it i have to apply a bit more pressure at the bottom near the lock and it locks fine. Better to have it fit well with no gaps since its job is to seal the engine compartment. I would go for it being tight with a slight adjustment to the catch on the actual van allowing a little more play
