Engine out time

over the next few weeks i will taking the engine out of my 1600 bay so i can tidy the engine bay up a bit
as this is the first time i am taking the engine out is there a check list that tell you what you need to undo ?

also wile the engine is out what bit's of the engine would be worth changing wile its out ?

Hi Paul - there are loads of useful threads that have covered this - do a quick search to find the best ones

 

WHS ^ But the only advice from me is.. label where the wires go when you take them all out! haha

 

haynes manual if you havnt got one is handy gives you a step by step guide, but its prettty easy really assuming stuff isnt to seized

 

We just took ours out for the first time, it took just over an hour.
Watched a video on just kampers web site which I found very useful.
I would check you fuel tank, lines and breather pipes while you've got it out.
